Todd Walter
Todd Walter is the President / Co-Owner of Comprehensive Test & Balance, Inc. He is a TABB-certified Technician and Supervisor. He graduated from both Red Land High School and Cumberland / Perry Vo-Tech in 1986 and finished his apprenticeship with the Local Sheet-Metal Workers Union 19 in 1991. Todd worked at Flood & Sterling for 11 years prior to starting his own company in September of 1999. Over the years, Todd has worked with engineers, contractors and building owners all over the country; from Alaska to Stanford, California to Boston, Massachusetts, and many points in between. Additionally, he has completed jobs in St. Croix, the Philippines for Pfizer & consulted in Newbridge Ireland on a facilities DP issue & sorted their new HVAC Air Handler HEPA filter failure issue. His customers, of which the majority are repeat customers, include GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Dow Chemical, Merck, Genesis Engineers, Jacobs, Integrated Project Services, Skanska, Ainsworth, Heim Co., Ernest D. Menold Inc., Bowen Inc., Whiting-Turner, Johnson Controls, Villanova University, and the Hershey Medical Center, among many others. With over 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry and more than 20 years as a business owner Todd has a wealth of knowledge in his craft, and a dedication to his customers that is rivaled by very few.
 
Jimmy Hernandez
Jimmy Hernandez is a Field Supervisor for CTB. Jimmy started with CTB in May 2002, but has been performing TAB (Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing) work since 1992. He previously worked for Filtration Particles Techniques, Inc. in Puerto Rico for 10 years as Operations Manager. Jimmy received a diploma from Huertas Junior College in Puerto Rico for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology and holds licenses for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and an EPA universal type license. He has completed 2 years of engineering classes at Turabo University, Puerto Rico and plans to continue towards his bachelor's degree. He has worked on jobs at Stryker, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals / Pfizer (Guayama, Carolina, Marietta and Collegeville (PA), Rouses Point (NY) and Parsippany (NJ)), Cardinal Healthcare, GlaxoSmithKline (Cidra, Upper Merion, Upper Providence and Collegeville), Bristol Myers Squibb (Manati, Barceloneta and Mayaguez), B/Braun of Puerto Rico (Sabada Grande and Dominican Republic), Merck (West Point) and Baxter in Puerto Rico, among others. Jimmy also lends his expertise to jobs in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, New York, Salt Lake City, Alaska, and Stanford, CA and is our lead project manager for numerous projects at Wegmans. Jimmy has his Technician and Supervisor Certification with the Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB) and currently is a member of the Local Sheet Metal Workers Union 19 out of Harrisburg, PA.
 
Todd Sload
Todd Sload is Field Technician for CTB. He has worked with CTB since 2003 and has been in the sheet metal industry for over 25 years. Prior to coming to us, he was a project Foreman and supervisor for Frey Mechanical for 8 years. Some of the projects he has worked on include numerous projects at GSK & GSK-Biologicals, Merck & Co., Johnson & Johnson-Merck and he is currently working on the Dow Chemical facility in Collegeville, PA., plus many other projects and customers.
 
Juan Cartagena
Juan Cartagena is a Field Technician for CTB and a member of the Local Sheet Metal Workers Union 19. Juan started with CTB in September 2002. He was previously employed by Filtration Particles Techniques, PR for 3 years. Juan received a diploma from Huertas Junior College in PR for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He currently holds licenses for Refrigeration and Air conditioning and EPA universal type. Some of the companies Juan has performed balancing at include AstraZeneca (IPR), Coca Cola, IVAX, Bristol Myers Squibb, Wyeth / Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, B/Braun of Puerto Rico, GlaxoSmithKline, MOVA, Merck, Cephalon, University of Pennsylvania, The Hershey Medical Center, Kedrion (Melville, NY), and a large retro-commissioning effort at Villanova University. He is a TABB-Certified Technician.
 
Brent Borzellino
Brent Borzellino is a Field Technician who started with CTB, Inc. in 2013. He has been a member of the Local Sheet Metal Workers Union 19 since 1999 and spent the first 14 years of his sheet metal career with the Warko Group. Brent has been a certified TABB technician since 2015, thereafter earning a Fire Life Safety Technician Level 1 Certification. Since he started at CTB, inc., Brent has performed balancing for Wegmans (various locations), AstraZeneca (Newark, DE), Pfizer (Sanford, NC), Sofie Biosciences (Totowa, NJ), Janssen, Reading Area Community College, Catalent Micron Technologies, and Krystal Biotech Retro Commissioning in Pittsburgh.
 
Adriana Farren
Adriana has been a Field Technician at CTB since 2015. Adriana has a B.A. in Human Resources and finance minor and worked an office job in Puerto Rico before moving to PA. Her first two years at CTB were spent in the office, where she gained a rapid understanding of the trade. With her keen insight and natural skill with numbers, Todd Walter recognized her potential, and offered to train her in the field. She graduated top of her class from the Local 19 Sheet Metal Workers Union Apprentice Program in 2017, and now continues as a Certified TABB Field Technician running and working on many high-profile projects for CTB, Inc. She holds multiple certifications, including welding, duct leakage testing, and HEPA testing. In 2022, Adriana’s story was featured in SMART Union Magazine, serving as an inspiration to those considering a career change and emphasizing the accomplishments of women in a male-dominated trade.
 
Christopher Brune
Christopher Brune is a Field Technician who started with CTB, Inc. in 2022. Chris graduated with his associate degree in applied science (Heating and Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) in 2018 and began working for Controlled Environment Certification Services (CECS, Inc., a subsidiary of STERIS Corp.) At CECS, he completed the STERIS Training and Certification Program for Applicants of Peroxide Sterilant, alongside on-going Certification Technician training. Well-versed in controlled environment practices, Chris started the Local 19 Sheet Metal Apprentice Program in 2022 to further his technical skills and advance his career.
 
Nicholas Grube
Nicholas Grube is a Field Technician who started with CTB, Inc. in 2022. Following the completion of his education in HAZMAT Operations at the Bucks County Fire School in 2016, Nick continued his training at Controlled Environment Certification Services (CECS, Inc., a subsidiary of STERIS Corp.) He completed the four-tiered Certification Technician training program, as well as the STERIS Training and Certification Program for Applicants of Peroxide Sterilant. In 2022, Nick began the Local 19 Sheet Metal Apprentice Program, building upon his existing industry knowledge and continuing his professional development.
 
Clayton Duncan
Clayton Duncan joined the CTB team in 2024 as the Manager of Business Development and Field Logistics. He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2020 with a B.S. in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology and an A.S. in Robotics and Automation. Following graduation, Clayton started at Multi-Dimensional Integration (Shrewsbury, PA) as a Control Engineer Consultant. He traveled extensively, acquiring enhanced troubleshooting techniques and interpersonal skills as he worked with various control systems and companies, such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Schnieder Electric. His technical proficiency, field adaptability and leadership strength were exemplified by multiple project management roles, including multimillion-dollar project installations with crews ranging from five to thirty people.
